Prechtl M98 standard action
The Prechtl M98 standard is manufactured according to the original blueprints from Paul Mauser.
However, several technical details have been altered and modified in order to suit the new high power calibers. The materials for the actions have been changed which have almost the double strength of the original materials. The "Standard-Klein" version fits all calibers ranging from .22-250 up to .30-06.
Prechtl M98 magnum action
The Prechtl magnum action is also manufactured according to the original blueprints from Paul Mauser, however, several technical details have also been altered in order to suit the modern high power calibers. For example the feeding opening for the cartridges was enlarged for additional 1,5mm in order to obtain more stability; the diameter of the firing pin was reduced from 2mm to 1,7mm in order to withstand the high pressures of the modern magnum calibers; the extractor was lengthened for 8mm in order to ensure more flexibility and to enable to handle cartridges like the .460 Weatherby; the extraction opening was lengthened for 8mm in order to enable even the largest cartridges to be loaded; the double square bridges bridges heightened for 2mm in order to withstand more pressure.
All parts are made of solid material. A total of 15kg of steel is cut and the weight of the finished action is 1,35kg. The manufacturing process requires approximately 92 hours.

The scoupe mount rail can be delivered as Picatinny rail or steel Weaver rail with 20MOA, 30MOA or 40MOA inclination.
The standard version is without a trigger. ERA, Timney or American match triggers that fit the Mauser98 action will fit.

Prechtl M98 Standard
The Prechtl M98 Standard is manufactured according to the original measurements of the zivil Mauser 98.
All calibers which are larger than .30-06 are equipped with a larger civil Mauser magazine housing (originally manufactured by Mauser for 9,3x62 caliber, lengthened by us for 1,5 millimeters). The larger magazine housing can by extended with a Rigby II floor plate in order to allow an extra cartridge to be loaded into the magazine.
